Answers to common questions about SODAART’s Live2D production, online classes, and the Taiwan Shuraba store. Choose a tab before commissioning, registering, or purchasing.
Pricing & Scheduling
How much does a Live2D model commission cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of the artwork, desired range of motion, and features such as outfit or hairstyle toggles. Share your specifications for a tailored quote.
All-in-one service from character design and part separation through modeling is also available.
What does your current schedule look like?
Availability changes with active projects. Please share your project status, budget, and preferred deadline so we can propose a timeline and terms.
How does the process work, and how do I pay?
The process is inquiry, quote, confirmation, and contract. A 50% deposit secures your production schedule. International clients may use PayPal; domestic clients may transfer to our UFJ Bank account.
Production & Specs
My artwork is not separated into parts. Can you do that?
Yes. Part separation is available for an additional fee. We can explain the process to your illustrator and handle necessary corrections.
Do you offer an all-in-one package if I have no character art?
Yes. Choose from our partner illustrators’ portfolios and we will coordinate the project. Background and logo design can also be arranged.
Contracts & Cancellation
Is a contract required?
Yes. Agreements are provided in Traditional Chinese and Japanese with identical terms. Please review everything carefully before paying the deposit.
Is the deposit refundable if I cancel?
Deposits are generally non-refundable when a contract is cancelled for personal reasons. Please confirm all contract terms before proceeding.
Classes
Is attendance taken? Can I enroll if I cannot join live?
Classes are streamed live, but attendance is not taken. Replays are available without a viewing limit during the access period, usually until the next course cycle—about six months.
Where are the class website and Discord?
Registration, payment, livestreams, assignments, and replays are handled on RedSodaClass. Students normally receive a Discord invitation and role within one week after payment and signing.
Are lesson replays available?
Recordings are usually posted 2–3 hours after each livestream. They may be replayed without limit until the displayed access deadline.
Registration & Fees
When does course registration open?
- Modeling: registration opens in May (classes begin in August) and December (classes begin in February)
- Animation: once per year
- Advanced: once per year
- Styling: once per year
Registration is complete only after tuition payment and signing the confidentiality agreement.
Why is a confidentiality agreement required?
To protect course fairness and teaching materials, and to reduce impersonation and unauthorized content distribution, students sign an online confidentiality agreement after registration. Personal data is used only for internal company verification.
Are there country or region restrictions?
The courses are fully online. Students may enroll from any region if they understand Mandarin Chinese instruction and can complete payment.
Software & Course Details
What language is used, and what viewing environment is required?
Instruction is primarily in Traditional Chinese. Livestreams include machine-translated Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese subtitles. Livestreams are 720P and replays are 1080P. A desktop computer is required.
Do I need an art background to learn Live2D?
Art fundamentals can help with perspective and form, but they are not required. The course guides beginners step by step.
Do I need my own separated character artwork?
No. Each term provides limited course artwork with layers already separated. Students may also bring their own character artwork and build it alongside the lessons.
