Announcement: Video Player Update

Thanks for waiting, everyone!
Quick update for all our students —
Over the past while, SODAART commissioned an outside team to build a brand-new video player,
and it's now finished, tested, and packed with a bunch of features you all have been asking for!
A lot of the playback issues people mentioned in past feedback forms (don't worry, I was quietly keeping track of all of them QQ)
should all be fixed with this update.
It's now officially live on the "Free Replay" section and the "Modeling Course Session 8 Replay" section.
Full feature details are listed below the replay page (also included in the comments),
so if you're curious, feel free to go check it out,
and let us know what you think — thank you all! ☺

【Feature Highlights】
Here's what's new in this video player update:
・【Skip forward / back】5 seconds each
・【Playback speed】Adjustable from 0.5x to 2.0x
・【Resolution】240p / 360p / 480p / 720p / 1080p (HD) / Auto
・【Display modes】Windowed / Picture-in-picture (draggable) / Fullscreen
・【Chapter jump】Videos with chapter markers can be jumped to directly from below
・【Anti-piracy watermark】A faint student ID will occasionally flash on screen during playback (anti-recording measure)
・【Mobile-friendly】Works properly on both phones and tablets
・【Resume where you left off】The last video you watched will be remembered after you leave the page (one video only). When you come back, the button will light up blue — click it to pick up right where you left off.
【A Few More Notes】
This new player is rolling out first on the "Free Course" replay section, along with the "Modeling Course Session 8" class starting next week. Other ongoing courses will get the update next term, since the workload is just too massive to switch everything over at once — thanks for understanding.
Also, the player used in the livestream room is being held back on the old version for now since it's technically a lot more complex to update — our web team is still working on it. We'll test and roll out an update there once it's ready.
Hope this makes for a better viewing experience for everyone — thanks so much for bearing with us!
